MENTAL COMMITMENT:

The First Step in Your Wellness Journey

We’re 2 weeks into 2023 and already the year is flying by. That New Years resolution and the plans you made for Getting Fit, Being Healthier, Eating Better blah, blah, blah has not yet come to fruition. You know what you need to do but you’re not sure where to start. And if you’re like the majority of people that made getting healthy a goal for the new year and your plans haven’t quite started yet, you may be feeling as if you’ll never have time to…

That’s where we come in! We’re here to push you forward into taking that first step, that first leap in to becoming a healthier YOU – And it all starts in your head.

Step One in Your Fitness Journey

STOP PLAYING THOSE MIND GAMES

Choosing and reaching your health & wellness goals are two very different commitments. When we sit and think about what we want to do with our health, we have a range of ideas pop up. All seem so easy achievable until we actually try to put the plan into action. Mental well-being and a solid mind-set aid in creating realistic, achievable goals for success throughout your “healthier you” transition.

When we experience poor mental health, we have the potential to become tired more easily and more often. That type of exhaustion can then take away the energy needed to better yourself. Mental health has become one of the most reported on health issues in recent years. More and more people are becoming aware of the benefits of having a healthy mindset… It’s a catalyst for improving overall well-being and preventing sicknesses and even possibly, an early death. Why wouldn’t you want to jump on the healthy train?!

Here are 5 Ways to Help Change Your Mindset to Get Started On Your Journey to Better Health & Wellness.

  • BE ACTIVE

Go to the gym, go on a walk, ride your bike, go snowboarding, snowshoeing, climb a mountain or clean your house!

  • BE SOCIAL

Call, text or plan a girls or boys night out. (Full moon hikes are always fun with friends!)

  • MEDITATE

Slow your mind, promote brain function and decrease anxiety.

  • UNPLUG

Electronics stimulate the brain causing irritability, anger and agitation. Just put it down for a bit.

  • TAKE A MENTAL HEALTH DAY

Whether just a day or several, taking time off can improve performance upon your return to work.
